The Progress of Acton Town Hall

The Acton Town Hall construction site was recently visited by Councillor Julian Bell, local cabinet members and councillors, to check on progress on the council’s multi-million pounds investment.

Councillor Bell was joined by Councillor Hitesh Tailor, Councillor Patricia Walker and Councillor Yvonne Johnson. Staff from construction company, Willmott Dixon, showed them the work done so far and explained them the next steps.

The transformation of the Grade II listed building, which begun in August 2012, is scheduled for completion in March 2014. The new complex will offer to the Acton residents a lot of facilities, including a leisure centre with a gym, two swimming pools, a library, community space and council offices. Servics, like the ones provided by the cleaners in Ealing will be availabale.

Councillor Bell said: “As an Acton resident myself, I take a keen interest in the progress of the town hall development which is why I wanted to come down in person and see how work is progressing."
